"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name."Ephesians 3:14-15
I can remember lying on the grass, looking up at the sky like this little girl. The world was no where to be found as I was lost in my day dreams. I thought I would stay there forever. Life moves on as it always does. In the moment, you feel as if you are beyond all other things happening around you.
Our perspective has a lot to do with how we feel. If we feel closed in, we might act as if we are trapped. If we are lonely we might feel afraid. When we sense hostility we might feel anxious. The problem comes when we don't know where the emotion is coming from.
When we bow before Jesus every anxious thought is quieted. When our eyes turn to the one and only King of Kings, our hearts can rest. Peace swoops in to the rescue, as if a helicopter appears on the scene, and throws out a net. We grab on and are pulled out of the fire.
Not only is" the peace that passes all understanding" here with us, it permeates heaven as well. His name, and all the authority gained from it belongs to God's obedient children. This truth is impossible for us to fully grasp. I don't think in our present state we could handle it.
